Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Cream together softened butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Beat in the egg and vanilla extract until well combined.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt. Gradually mix into the wet ingredients.
  5. Combine melted butter with brown sugar in a different bowl until smooth; spread this mixture on your prepared baking sheet.
  6. Spoon cookie dough onto the brown sugar base, gently pressing pineapple pieces into each dollop and topping with half a cherry.
  7. Bake for 12–15 minutes until edges are golden brown; cool before serving.
