4 slices of bread (sourdough or your choice)
1 cup cooked chicken (shredded or sliced)
4 slices mozzarella cheese (or 1 cup shredded)
2 tablespoons grated parmesan cheese
2 tablespoons unsalted butter (softened)
1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
Instructions
Prepare your ingredients by shredding or slicing the cooked chicken.
Spread softened butter on one side of each slice of bread.
On the unbuttered side of two slices, layer cooked chicken, mozzarella cheese, and marinara sauce. Sprinkle with grated parmesan cheese and top with another slice of bread (buttered side out).
Heat a skillet over medium heat. Cook sandwiches until golden brown, about 3-4 minutes per side, pressing down gently with a spatula.
Remove from skillet, slice in half, and serve warm.
