  • 1 cup confectioners’ sugar
  • 1 tsp almond extract
  • milk as needed

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, cream together softened butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Add eggs, almond extract, and vanilla extract; mix until combined.
  4. In another bowl, whisk flour and salt together; gradually add to the wet mixture until just combined.
  5. Press half of the dough into a greased pan. Spread cherry pie filling evenly on top. Dollop remaining dough over the filling.
  6. Bake for 35–40 minutes or until golden brown. Let cool completely before drizzling with glaze made from confectioners’ sugar, almond extract, vanilla, and milk.
