  • 1/4 cup espresso powder
  • 1/2 cup cocoa powder
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×5 inch loaf pan.
  2. Mash the ripe bananas in a large bowl until mostly smooth.
  3. Mix in melted butter, sugars, eggs, and vanilla until well combined.
  4. In another bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, espresso powder, baking soda, and salt.
  5. Gradually add dry ingredients to wet ingredients and mix gently until just combined.
  6. Fold in chocolate chips and pour batter into the prepared loaf pan.
