  • 20 ounces refrigerated cheese tortellini
  • 1 tablespoon fresh sage (chopped)
  • 8 ounces cremini mushrooms (sliced)
  • 3 tablespoons butter (divided)
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 clove garlic (minced)
  • 1/2 cup freshly grated parmesan cheese
  • Salt & pepper (to taste)

Instructions

  1. Boil water in a large pot and cook the tortellini according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  2. While the pasta cooks, slice the cremini mushrooms and chop the sage.
  3. In a skillet over medium-high heat, melt 1 tablespoon of butter with olive oil. Add chopped sage and sauté until crispy. Remove and set aside.
  4. In the same skillet, add sliced mushrooms and minced garlic along with another tablespoon of butter. Sauté until browned and fragrant.
  5. Combine cooked tortellini with remaining butter and parmesan in the skillet, tossing until well coated. Stir in crispy sage, season with salt and pepper, and serve immediately.
