  • 2 lbs ground beef
  • 1 medium onion, finely diced (about 1 cup)
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tablespoon yellow mustard
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 6 chicken hamburger buns, torn into bite-sized pieces
  • 2 tablespoons butter, melted
  • 1 teaspoon sesame seeds
  • 1 cup mayonnaise
  • 1/4 cup ketchup
  • 2 tablespoons sweet pickle relish
  • 1 tablespoon yellow mustard
  • 1 tablespoon white vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup shredded lettuce
  • 1/2 cup dill pickles, chopped
  • 1/4 cup diced onion
  • 8 slices American cheese

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a skillet, brown the ground beef with diced onion and minced garlic until cooked through.
  3. Stir in Worcestershire sauce, mustard, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder.
  4. In a bowl, combine torn buns with melted butter and sesame seeds. Layer half on the bottom of a greased baking dish.
  5. Add half of the beef mixture followed by half of the special sauce. Repeat layers.
  6. Top with shredded cheddar and American cheese slices. Cover loosely with foil and bake for 30 minutes.
  7. Remove foil and bake for an additional 10 minutes until bubbly and golden. Top with lettuce and pickles before serving.
