  • 2 lbs ground beef
  • 1 medium onion, diced
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 6 chicken hamburger buns, torn into pieces
  • 1 cup mayonnaise
  • 1/4 cup ketchup
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup shredded lettuce
  • Dill pickles and diced onions for topping

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a skillet, brown the ground beef over medium heat. Add onions and garlic; sauté until onions are translucent.
  3. Stir in Worcestershire sauce, mustard, salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder.
  4. Combine torn buns with melted butter and sesame seeds in a bowl.
  5. Mix together mayonnaise, ketchup, relish, mustard, vinegar, sugar, paprika, garlic powder, and onion powder in another bowl.
  6. In a baking dish, layer half of the bun mixture followed by half of the beef mixture and half of the special sauce; repeat layers.
  7. Top with American cheese slices and bake for 25-30 minutes until golden brown.
  8. Serve topped with shredded lettuce, pickles, and onions.
