  • 2 medium apples, peeled, cored, and diced
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 1/3 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 2 tablespoons water
  • 1 can refrigerated biscuit dough (8 biscuits)
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon

Instructions

  1. In a saucepan over medium heat, melt butter and add diced apples, sugar, and cinnamon. Cook for about 4–5 minutes until softened.
  2. Mix cornstarch with water; add to the apple mixture and cook until thickened. Remove from heat and let cool.
  3. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  4. Flatten each biscuit dough piece to about 1/4 inch thick.
  5. Place a tablespoon of cooled apple filling in the center of each biscuit piece, fold edges over and seal well.
  6. Dip each sealed bomb into melted butter then roll in a mixture of sugar and cinnamon.
  7. Bake for 12–15 minutes until golden brown.
